As a development-oriented company working with and in communities of all levels, Frontieri  is fully committed to managing and carrying out its societal obligations in many ways. These are strategies enshrined in our vision and mission and aligned with the policies, practices and initiatives we undertake both internally and with the public at large.

Sound ethical labor practices are maintained in the company by various rules and regulations contained in the company’s Administration/Governance manuals, policies, and procedures. These mainly center on, among other things, treating employees fairly and ethically, availing transparency and honesty, rewarding hard work, and abiding by relevant labour laws and bylaws of the country.

Furthermore, Frontieri  takes part in various humanitarian activities. So far, the company stood for a number of school children overcome their financial troubles and stay at school. We also organize scheduled blood donation via the Ethiopian Red Cross Association a virtue that we are determined to maintain.

Environmental Enthusiasm

Another primary area that makes Frontier i consult one of the best companies in the area is our environmental concern. Our environmental policy, as an integral part of our policies and operations, commits to environmental ethos- be it in the office or outside. We work hard to ensure that we are paying our dues and contribute our share in the fight against climate change and global warming. These include practicing the following at company level:
  • We are vigorously working towards achieving our goal of becoming a paperless company by the year 2019
  • Communicating our environmental commitment and efforts to our staffs, clients, partners and visitors by placing reminder notes on the company’s bulletin boards, PC Windows and office pinboards.
  • Discouraging misuse of paper and/or printing papers.
  • Preventing pollution whenever possible by buying/using environmentally-friendly office gadgets and vehicles.
  • Turning off all electric power-operated appliances when not in use
  • we regularly take part in environment-related campaigns and initiatives, such as tree-planting events;
  • When working among communities (urban or rural) we demonstrate exemplary adherence to local and international environmental regulations; and sponsor institutions and/or individuals engaged in environmental activities.

Frontier i consult believes that research should be undertaken in accordance with commonly agreed upon standards of good practice such as are laid down in the Declaration of Helsinki, The Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) Research Ethics Framework, by the Medical Research Council (MRC) and Research Councils UK (RCUK).
  • Beneficence and Non-Malfeasance Research should not be undertaken where the hazards involved are not believed to be predictable; adequate facilities and procedures should be in place to deal with any potential hazards.
  • Integrity The research should be scientifically sound and the purpose should be to contribute to knowledge; the research should be undertaken and/or supervised by those who are appropriately qualified and experienced.
  • Informed Consent Each potential participant must be adequately informed of the aims, methods, anticipated benefits and potential hazards of the research and any discomfort it may entail; any documentation given to potential participants should be comprehensible and there should be an opportunity for them to raise any issues of concern.
  • Confidentiality/Anonymity All research should conform to data protection legislation; Details that would allow individuals to be identified should not be published, or made available, to anybody not involved in the research unless explicit consent is given by the individuals concerned; All reasonable steps should be taken to ensure that confidential details are secure.
  • Independence and impartiality Researchers should be honest with respect to the conduct of their research from inception to publication. Conflicts of interests are not necessarily unethical but should be declared and dealt with appropriately.
